notes:
Henry Saint Clair Fredericks was a handful of New Yorkers (count Garland Jeffreys and Lou Reed among them) born in the 40s that reimagined themselves and their music outside of their natural environment. How a man from Harlem had such a prolific career playing Cajun influenced Country Folk Blues and being, well, himself is a thing of beauty in itself.
