BLUE NOTE 1975
NM- / VG+
A nice, lazy session from Bobby Hutcherson and a title that doesn't pop up very often. For 1975, not too fusion-y, just kinda rolls in a mellow way. The whole session is nice. He enlists the talented Waters family to provide vocal stylings on "Mountain Caravan." Bobbye Hall and Harvey Mason's percussion complement and never overpower Hutcherson's marimba. He transposes the "Theme From M-A-S-H" into a tropical paradise and there is a nice, fat open break on "People Make The World Go Round."
