About Miyagi
Miyagi is an independent record shop, archive, and education space on Chicago's South Side. We specialize in used vinyl collections, music culture, and thoughtful curation. The Collections Processing Assistant supports the day-to-day movement of inventory through Miyagi's Collections Operations department.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organized, repetitive, detail-oriented work and wants to learn the behind-the-scenes process of running a modern record business. Initially, this position works directly with the Executive Director while training. As Collections Operations continues to develop, the role will transition to reporting within that department under its leadership.
We're looking for someone who enjoys building systems, values craftsmanship, and wants to help preserve and share music history—one record at a time.
