This Summer, we acquired a great DJ collection containing many of the key musical components from the very formative era (ca. 83-92). Inspired by the finds, Shazam Bangles came up with the idea to make a tribute mix solely with hand-picked selections from the stacks. His approach to the mix was to program it as if he was asked to play a set at the original Medusa's on a Saturday night. "This is by no means a comprehensive tribute. Medusa's was before my time," say Bangles. "Nevertheless, it’s been a fun way to honor Dave and the club's remarkable legacy."
