FAQS

Learn More About The Programs

DJ 101 - Intro to DJing
DJ 101 is a foundational course that builds musical literacy, discovery habits, and early set-building confidence. Across Weeks 1–4, students learn how to count beats and BPM, identify structure and frequencies, listen intentionally, explore DJ style through mix study, and develop graduation promo materials. Weeks 5–6 are dedicated to rehearsal, set development, and graduation readiness.
DJ 102 - Intermediate Digital Mixing
DJ 102 builds directly on the mixing fundamentals from DJ 101 (or equivalent experience). The focus is technical growth and performance readiness: tighter blends, stronger phrasing, better EQ and levels discipline, smarter prep, and more creative transitions. Each week includes a live mini-mix assessment designed to help you apply what you learned and track improvement.
Beat Making 101 - Intro to Music Production
Beatmaking 101 is a foundational course that builds musical literacy, sampling instincts, and early composition confidence. Across Weeks 1–4, students learn core music production fundamentals—counting bars and tempo, understanding song structure, building drum patterns, sampling and chopping, and arranging ideas into full sketches—while developing a simple, repeatable workflow they can take home. Week 5 is dedicated to refinement, feedback, and showcasing: tightening arrangements, improving clarity in the mix, and preparing a final beat (or short beat set) for presentation.
Will other types of classes be added?
Currently there are no plans to expand course offerings. Our main focus in 2026 is expanding our 101 program schedule to account for the growing wait-list!
